February 2023 Dog Events and Dog Holidays – Dogster

Featured on homefriends

Dogs make the best Valentines, right? Hugs, kisses, unconditional love. Show your puppy this month with one of these unique (and easy) freebies – a sure way to save time and extra licks. Speaking of kisses (and fresh dog breath), February is also Pet Dental Health Month. Taking care of your dog’s teeth is there to show him how much you care about him. Good dental health prevents chronic pain and inflammation, as well as periodontal disease associated with heart, kidney and liver problems.

But 80% of dogs end up having dental disease by the age of 3. Pumpkin Pet Insurance surveyed over 500 pet owners, and 63% said they don’t brush their dog or cat’s teeth regularly at home, mostly because their pet doesn’t let it or doesn’t like it not.

Brushing a dog’s teeth takes practice and patience, but it’s worth it! Did you know there are alternatives to the standard toothbrush? Try them out and let us know what you think. And in the meantime, send us your ❤️ photos with your pup to be featured on our social media pages.
